Riverside Area Youth Soccer League was established in 1981 following on the heels of soccer's increased popularity throughout the United States, giving Riverside students direct access to recreational soccer for the first time. RAYSL was started in September when Chuck and Carol Kotuby along with Quinton Parker, Dave Scopolite, and Donnie and Linda Tindall formed the initial organization.
