In November 1994, several local soccer players and their families were interested in finding some way to provide the opportunity for young men and women in Venango County to participate in organized play. This group of parents founded the Franklin Soccer Club, entirely self-funded. That first year, a small team traveled to games in Akron OH, Pittsburgh, and Maryland to play in tournaments. The group raised money for soccer balls and uniforms.
